Hi, i was wondering when the begginners learn to race cyclocross clinic was and where it was? Your site mention something about coalcross, but when and where do i need to be for the clinic?
    thanks!

At each race there will be a short clinic before the beginners race, usually around 10am, where an experienced cross racer will take you around the course and give some tips. There may be other clinics as well, they will be posted here if they are happening.

I want to come over from the Mainland to do one of your races, but I hate sandpits! I think that rules out Bowen Park! What can you tell me about the courses at Gorge Park, Victoria PISE and Beban Park? Please advise. Thanks!

Gorge Park will be mostly grass with a few technical sections. 2 years ago there was a sand section along a beach, but it was hard pack, completely rideable.

PISE is mostly grass as well, more elevation changes than Gorge. Will also have gravel and dirt sections. Will probably be more technical the Gorge.

Beban again is mostly grass and dirt, but usually includes a section of BMX track. Occasionally it had some sand in a horse ring which was hard packed and rideable.

Bowen Park & Ladysmith had sandpits lastyear. Check out the photos for a better idea what the courses are like. http://www.crossontherock.com//photos/ (Gorge is IRC Cameron Law Cup 2010)

Just wondering if it’s possible to do the expert race on a mountain bike? I’ve got a cross bike ordered, but it looks like it won’t show up in time for the Victoria race.
    Thanks!
